OMAR SOBHY
Omar Sobhy is a Five-Time US National Champion and the Director of Sobhy Squash Academy, primarily located at Meadow Mill Athletic Club in Baltimore, Maryland. Omar has over 15 years of coaching experience. Previously, he was the Squash Professional at the Creek as well as the Metropolitan Club of the City of Washington. While attending the George Washington University, Omar had the most wins and was the only College Individual National Champion in GWU franchise history. Omar is certified as an England Squash Coach, ACE Personal Trainer, and ACE Sports Conditioning Specialist. He has also studied and is passionate about sports psychology, ontology, and high performance mental and athletic training. Omar recently completed his MBA (2019) from Georgetown McDonough School of Business and Omar’s passion for education has helped his students gain recruitment to many universities, including all 8 Ivy League Schools.
AMANDA SOBHY
Amanda Sobhy is currently ranked #1 in the United States and #8 on the Professional World Tour. She is a 4x US Women's National Champion, a 3x Gold Medalist at the 2015 PanAmerican Games, and the winner of 16 Professional Tour titles. Amanda graduated from Harvard University in 2015 with a degree in Social Anthropology and a minor in Global Health. She competed on the Harvard women's squash team all four years where she won 3 National Team Titles and 4 Individual National Titles making her the second female ever to win 4 Intercollegiate Individual National Titles. She graduated from Harvard with an undefeated 62-0 match record having only lost 2 games throughout her entire collegiate career. In 2017, Amanda ruptured her left Achilles which sidelined her for 10 months from the Professional tour. Since coming back from her injury, Amanda has battled her way back into the top 10 of the rankings at number 8. Currently based in Boston, MA, Amanda is coached by former World #1 and MIT Men's Head Squash Coach, Thierry Lincou. In addition to competing on the Professional singles tour, Amanda is also the assistant coach for the MIT Men's Squash team and is an avid hardball doubles player.
KHALED SOBHY
Khaled Sobhy has over 40 years of squash playing and coaching experience. He has won several tournaments in the US, Middle East, and Europe, and is a former Egyptian Junior National Champion, former US #3, and a former Professional Squash player, having reached a career-high ranking of World #36. Khaled has coached the Egyptian National Junior Team and the Belgian National Squash Team. He has coached players from scratch to reach professional accomplishments and set numerous records including: World Junior Champion, US Junior Open Champion, College National Champion, US National Champion, and more. Khaled has been a Squash Professional at the Creek as well as the Cascade Club.
